'AI' Is Not a persistent, self-updating background daemon by default

It's a useful piece because it shows how considering AI a tool versus whatever narrative the AI cultists are cooking up.

Software engineering experience might be visualized as a panel with a few tools AND a built-in, properly configurable and working sandbox. Seems that's too much too ask. AI is a tool. And I don't see the point of this argument other than a bit of context, “Huahai is an entrepreneur. He co-founded Juji, a company building an AI agent platform”. Is a table saw a tool? It's not deterministic. Every cut is going to be a general bull in a china shop. It's not that hard to do OS- and distribution-appropriate package management.

Refusal to adhere to the XDG specification is a big signal that the app is going to be better and more in line with what you want. A semantics discussion but I think it would be very nice if they wouldn't test all of the stuff on Max! All I'd want is a CLI with a few dozen buttons and levers. The engineers that are most successful with LLMs are the ones that understand more of that panel.
