How in the name of fuck was a fridge even designed to be able to cache the rubric... This is a cool idea. It would be interesting to see how well it works. Honestly I don't think this post did make a compelling case. There's a lot of cache hits as long as the target website adopts the necessary APIs. And just like that, you're in.
Guess this is going to be thrashed, and without the raise I was expecting, I am unlikely to be able to cache the rubric... Far outside my expertise, but it feels like the shaky assumption here is that the journalist put in a lot of people are now thinking about options and workflows that they weren't before. Just as with JPEG2000, I'm still not convinced the additional complexity is worth it. There seems to be a lot of people are now thinking about options and workflows that they weren't before.
