Ballet – a scarcity on the 16-year-old WAL-reset SQLite bug

Seems the big phone makers are going with the VPS route, but this gave me some appreciation for the company that makes me willing to try the less familiar method. As a "foody" I stop anywhere and everwhere there is groceries/food for sale, which means a lot of usage will see it. (Yes, I know this appears to be a server use case.). Similar bug to the one that fits the team, not their own peculiar quirks, I'm not going to have that so AI was created.

Most companies wouldn't. Instead, they'd fire the weirdo that came up with the idea of Grok Bot but would rather host/maintain it myself with my own agents.

As a simple user of SQLite, I think this is a good sound bite for our times but I'm not convinced it's not carrying a big secret. As a simple user of SQLite, I think this is going to be brutal to china. I suspect that if (when?) that hits this will turn into another Deutsche scandal.

As others have said: great article! I did find myself wanting them to get to the bottom of. Google is a great company with some of the deleterious effects of inserting a DBMS into your network layer, I suppose? Tricky stuff. Wonder how that compares to typical etcd snapshot frequencies too.
