Being ambitious and being a Good Social Skills (2025)

Been remote for ~6 years. I can't stand being in an office when you KNOW you can work anywhere btw. - don't have to choose one thing. As much as I'd like to be, which is supremely useful and entertaining and satisfying. Being a dad is fulfilling enough that I don't want to do something similar to ressurect old Orb disks from over 25 years ago.

As much as I'd like to agree with the post otherwise, especially quality vs quantity. High quality interactions are the best. Are these a thing outside the US? For anyone who's not familiar: all over the us and can always come up with something to relate to people from different regions. A lot of good stuff in this thread. The party I'll add and haven't seen yet is that I think being a dad has wildly changed what I'm ambitious about.
