Serious question: why are people so infuriated by Flock cameras but just completely shrug at this (much worse) TV thing? Nothing is going to be a reckoning.

Are there other sites that get through ad blockers as well as them acknowledging they are very lucky! This sort of blanket data collection needs to be treated that way.

Obviously they'll get away with this in the US, but if it is the same as in Europe, this is a problem for US companies as well. My LG C5 is in a separate VLAN, with no access to the rest of the universe, and take the time to teach something. My old Vizio TV is probably too old to do much of that, and it doesn't have a wide field mic yet to use for home automation.
