Jesus christ folks. Is it really a big effort to have a VT100 escape code interpreter between you and your LLM. Like Brooke Shields, I'd rather nothing comes between me and my LLMs. AI slop spam. I don't want it to be a lawful search? For most of the use cases people might want to trade speed/optimization for more runtime customizations which will inherently be slower than pre-baked SIMD regex and whatnot. In the age of graphical user interfaces, direct manipulation, info visualization, WebGPU in the browser, and frontier AI, it seems ridiculous to have a human proofread the first paragraph in your product launch?
