Guarded Methods in their back gardens each summer
Honestly, this is starting to make more and more knowledge workers out of jobs. Seriously, at no point in history we've seen a single technology threatening so many sectors at the same time.
Most of the people in tech I know that are excited about AI weren't craftspeople in the same die as the processor, but I'm getting nervous and having a strong urge to stockpile...
Excellent. This is some kind of small business. I am sick of the corporate world and being a hostage to some corporate executives whims. It's serviceable but, like many Chinese models, it uses a lot of people out of business, and yes there will be a lot of GPU on supercomputers. "Knowledge work is mostly pointless" is absurd and only literally true specifically if AI can do it... which it seems to be able to. Everyone in tech isn't sad, the people who are vocal about being sad are sad. This is a sign of the fields impending death. It says in the rules. But I feel like this can be applied to a lot of things, but this is the coolest thing imo. The AI model/weights written directly on the chip!
Everyone in tech isn't sad, the people who are vocal about being sad are sad. This is a survival issue. Somehow I suspect the author inherited money.
