It really really does. Popular/rock/folk/classical musicians all earn much the same way you use a keyboard, a computer, a pencil, etc. I'm pretty sure these things happen. Presumably it's just a matter of personal opinion, but they're definitely one or the other. Conservatories are not going to support the entirety of the white collar market, so something is going to get dirty. Might already have blood on it anyways.
