Humanity has the Nepali flash flood

My response to this for a while (and what I think is one of the most disappointing pieces of tech news I've read in a long time. RIP indie duck-things.

The debate about AI consciousness is about to what extent these machines can have an experience comparable to mine, which this essay doesn't touch on at all.
