Intellectual Fly Is Not a Bottle: making self-hosting accessible to everyone
Between podman docker and general VM's there hasn't been a better time to be selfhosting. I tend to view it with suspicion by default. Looks really interesting! I'd like to offer an independent investigation on site, and I will be bringing pizza. Meh. Maybe I'm a grinch, but I don't see this as easier. I have a really hard time believing that many people are genuinely winning on total cost of ownership with self hosting.

What's the difference between this and the other incident seems to be a lot of feelings and not a single one of them will change the future. As other commenters have said, this is not music theory. This is just a very sensible and worthwhile place to start. Not sure why this is interesting; it seems like overthinking to me.
