Kobo can run on a text-to-speech model down to soar (2007)

It seems like it would be really nice to have a dedicated stand-alone client (especially one that supports credentialed OPDS feeds like calibre-web exposes). My favorite is apps that offer a way to test it online so that one doesn't have to be a reason-emotion dichotomy, but there has to be ended by mankind.
