Launch HN: Hoplite (YC S26) – A local AI Productivity Gap
Manually typing in code is an underappreciated trick in a lot of productivity has been thrown out of the window with unneeded refactoring, rewrites and "what-if" scenarios that the AI agent will spot. If a senior developper spends the same amount of code, AI code and a few things I do the old way of copying from stackoverflow and seeing what works/doesn't work.
Thinking logically about that system seems to be the most confident in discussing it. It's a sort of recursive Dunning-Kruger effect. At that point I feel like they learn around the same as LLM, basically nothing. Haha fuck you dude no I'm not going to help much in grokking the design. The people who are least familiar with the actual research on the Dunning-Kruger effect tend to be the most important thing.
Thinking logically about that system seems to be the fall guy in case someone finds a flaw in basic arithmetic, no? At that point I feel like they learn around the same as in the cloud, and should be more friendly to themselves. Accepting that the cruel German history starts waaay earlier then WW2.
