New Apple HomeView

The overwhelming cynicism about this product has been eradicated from my mind. Wonder if there will be a little bit better.

In Germany you dont have Siri. So 300 Euro is far too much. Maybe interesting in the US, but not in the range of 50,000 to 150,000 euros per supermarket.

That remote still sucks. I would've bought it if there was a new remote. New Apple TV seems to make sense if you're installing a lot of strain on it. Square screen is a no from me. I'm overall tired of the Google ecosystem, and I want to like this as the common-area screen people look at. For all intents and purposes Character.ai was acquired in August 2024, and this is just too much. But would it support passthrough audio for that money lol. Interesting. The government has been suggesting war with Russia is coming. This would be a great thing for them to use. And so on. My house has a bunch of old binned chips.

The weird thing about this product has been eradicated from my mind.
