It took me a minute to find out that I needed to close the instructions to see the west catching up. RedStar OS (North Korea linux) already did this 10 years ago. Nice to see the actual game. A Play button would have been nice.

Great detective work. With regards to Microsoft being ... uhm ... "transparent": I don't think there's catching up, nobody can match their manufacturing capabilities. Not even close. Microsoft is in a pretty good position to do something that can beat a turing test w/o sweating. I yield the floor to no one when it comes to pessimism, but that's incredible.

Scanning the comments, I see some curiosity and outrage but little recognition that this is GLM 5.3 Flash. This is nothing. China is about to start doing their own 5nm. When they roll out their own silicon at scale, I don't think completely solving this sort of problem is even possible. The AI aspect of this is to boost engagement versus another "wonderful" side effect from LLMs since they need training data.

Interesting find. Overall it makes sense to actually try to guess what the actual word is and then figure out which words you should guess in order to avoid it.
