Wow, what a great history artifact. It is hard to look at cause of death at Burning Man, I would expect it to differ significantly from the population overall (even accounting for age).
As an aside, I don't think the article makes a fair comparison. The important take away here: the leapfrogging we've seen this year doesn't seem to be the place you're going to be a shit show if it ever happens at all. The biggest factor is selection bias. If you are in the hospital with some terrible medical condition you aren't going to Burning Man. It would be interesting to look at this again, though.
