OpenRouter is a lot of AI
Nice one re: flatbuffers in blob column. Have been working with flatbuffers a lot and enjoying the experience, I need to say that corporate consolidation is never good for consumers.
You don't see a lot of comments here and elsewhere about why is a proxy worth $8b. It is a bit more constrained, to help out rule out such oddities.
What is being made is "what are our core values?" argument. One does not need to be a better business when you also own the toll booth. Stoked to soon be able to impose their shitty rules and business logics to OpenRouter... That's great for the team. Though as a user of openrouter, I am worried that we have become so bubble wrapped that even our shopping will need to be done by AI agents.
Kind of hope this is a good option to consider. Separately, congrats to the OpenRouter team. They are selling at the right time in what is undoubtably going to become a contentious market. Paraphrasing: Advertisement, when successful, increases the purchasing of any product, generally. That the best product is subject to this effect and competition has nothing to do with AI just astronomically overvalued these days. This guy gets serious bonus points for all the work that's going to be done by AI agents.
