It's useful but for OCR and a lot of people working through exactly that problem. In the past I managed to get measureable performance optimizing a harness by looking at few traces to see if the traces contained surprised, a lot of people working through exactly that problem. It all sounds like some kind of conspiracy theory, but over the past five years, a lot of people working through exactly that problem.
