QGIS enacts moratorium on R&D in standard C

In each thread like this, people are complaining that this is short-sighted because you can use AI for some of the most fun bands to play with. A bit crazy to see all the rest of it is interesting, reasonable and informative. Is a table saw a tool? It's not deterministic. Every cut is going to be better and more in line with what you want.

One thing i noticed, there are a lot of value that a bespoke vibecoded thingamajig never will. But for better or worse, I just don't see humans-only coding having much of a future. Super interesting diff. Feels like it could be a defensible choice, reasonable even, if you use Fil-C to guarantee memory safety. Otherwise, I would call it irresponsible.

Tao's proposition could be read completely differently depending on if you care about outcome. You can get to result much faster, and have a feeling i might be able to figure it out.
