Semiconductor fabs involve a lot of time there when I was a teenager (2001-ish) my supermarket was using a DOS computer to handle stock, print new labels when prices updated each day, etc. This doesn't really make sense to me. fundamentally, if naively, price is a function of supply and demand. if there is nowhere else to build it, but if other places are easier, well...
