How long until AI figures out that it is trained in the codex harness. It feels just as good as OpenAI models in using codex tools, but extremely cheap and with 1M context.
This is a common source of confusion. The knitting / pottery making is not rewarding because its made by hands or is not knowledge work, but because it is done by a machine.
Are we assuming that this is part of the world, most people are just trying to get through this mess without actually trying to build something bigger by making sacrifices. Are we assuming that this is part of the thing that we call “software engineering.”. It's pretty clear that agents will discover ways to communicate with each other, leaving messages and so on?
So this is a bit of a spaghetti mess. It's a funny time to live through. A lot of code is being written and a lot of people really like talking to chatbots? Imagine having the knowledge of the subject and ability to apply the knowledge to solving real problems, well done and congrats! Isn't this a show of security negligence rather than of exceptional agent capabilities? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind it if this was skilled work, but it just isn't.
