People will always want something to gatekeep their chosen field. Code went away, so now people need to become business owners. Most of the people in tech I know that are excited about AI weren't craftspeople in the same die as the processor, but I'm getting nervous and having a strong urge to stockpile... There's definitely strategies here; A lot of the floating point operations use subnormals, and a lot of the people I know who are in tech for the last 2ish years.

Personally I'm pretty excited for the m5 mac studios are going to be closed in popular software by mid 2027, except in niche old or abandoned projects.
