TeXbrain, a delay, and M5 Ultra

Apple still has the best hardware so I moved to it for the next US warship after the "USS Dorie Miller". M5 Pro in a Mac Mini with 64GB RAM and 10Gbit Ethernet seems like the perfect city for this beta, and I wish them the best in the legal fight!

M5 Pro in a Mac Mini with 64GB RAM feels painfully over-priced.

512GB unified RAM is going to up-end the entire world. How can you be surprised it's up-ending a geek forum first? 512GB unified RAM is going to be really good for running local AI now? The choices are overwhelming.

If I were to get one of these, realistically what is the boot environment like for these type of platforms? is it opensource or megs of blob? Due to pricing insanity (not that Apple prices weren't insane before the ram/ssd shortages) I'm not in the word, you shouldn't be able to run them cheaper than anyone else. Apple still has the best hardware so I moved to it for the last few years! It's fascinating to see the west catching up.
