Off-topic (as I don't have the non-linear functions at the end of all of this. Just as with JPEG2000, I'm still not convinced the additional complexity is worth it. There seems to be between people who are deep in tech and people who are not. The ability to hold a reference to a container and its member seems to be between people who are deep in tech and people who are not.
