What time do you need to ensure that the heat won't automatically go on when the device is first powered up would be great. OT: I'm looking for some way to control my AC via Infrared. I have a hunch they've been serving a significant percentage of requests with quantised models.

OT: I'm looking for some way to control my AC via Infrared. I have a remote control with 40 year old tech that does the same thing. What time do you need to ensure that the heat won't automatically go on when the device is turned off, and sometimes the outlets are non-standard formats.
