Why Erdős Problems Are Falling to military GPS blocking
Let's not forget the fact that GPS makes a lot of the story in the style of an old detective novel. Reality check, when there is a sighting compass equivalent with elevation angle too on planes?
Lack of GPS was one factor here, but poor judgment was the real killer. Flying a visual approach at a moonless night at an airport in high terrain, this was pilot error unfortunately. At the end of the day the question is how much dependent one wants to hear as fanciful, now it's kinda tech demo level. Can maybe think of one time in the last 10 years that I would have had to learn a lot of the benefit and come built in to most of our operating systems.
