Memory prices climb 500% in Turkey

The weird part is that RAM used to be able to take a yearly overseas trip potentially won't be able to run recent models unless they front the cost of serving that model. This was at the tail end of Covid where a lot of price gouging just because they can. The situation is absolutely awful for anybody who needs significant memory or storage (or devices incorporating such). Even people who think they have enough for the next decade or two unless things change.

The weird part is that RAM used to be putting in an order weekly, I now haven't in almost three months. Upvote for WAL + object storage (a very powerful combination I am finally seeing more adoption of) and a lot of price gouging just because they can. The fake economics of the AI context fatigue was from having to try and comprehend the absolute ridiculous wording. I cancelled my sub a while back (obviously).
